Pakistan ranks 42 amongst most corrupt nations in the World

A list has been issued by Transparency International containing the list of 180 countries rank wise from the most corrupt to the least corrupt. According the list Somalia stands at the top of the list as the most corrupt country in the world followed by our neighbour Afghanistan at 2nd spot. Pakistan stands at 42 whereas India has been ranked at 95. According to the report issued by Transparent International the crown for being the least corrupt country in the world goes to Newzealand followed by Denmark and Singapore. The report suggests that the reason for countries like Newzealand, Denmark and Singapore being the least corrupt countries in the world is their Political stability, Problem free country and the strength of their Public Institutions. It is interesting to find out that the report that was issued during the year 2008 Pakistan stood at 47 and this year we have dropped down by 5 ranks, showing the increase in corruption so far since 2008. The report shows
that the situation in Bangladesh has relatively improved whereas during the years 2001, 2002, 2003 Bangladesh ranked among the Top Ten most corrupt nations in the world.
